Discover Pursat
The Pursat setting points towards Cambodia's western uplands, a contrast to the broad low plains around the central water systems. The selected Phnum landmarks belong to this more elevated landscape, rather than the flatter terrain that occupies much of the country's interior.
The Mekong and Tonle Sap dominate Cambodia's central geography, while these western highlands occupy the edge of that lower landscape. Monsoon rainfall brings a marked wet season, followed by drier months, with much less temperature variation than in continental mountain countries farther north.
