Discover Tafea
The selected high points belong to the Tafea island group in southern Vanuatu. Their setting is separated by sea from the archipelago's more northerly mountains, with volcanic interior terrain rising behind narrow coastal margins on individual islands.
All three locations lie on Tanna, giving the group a single-island focus within Tafea Province. Tanna's elevated interior is distinct from the lower coastal fringe and from the separate islands of Erromango and Aneityum. This geographical concentration matters in an archipelago where similarly mountainous islands can be separated by substantial stretches of sea.
