Jezercë, Radohimë and Maja e Boshit belong to Albania's far northern mountain landscape. Their setting is the rugged Albanian Alps, a region of deeply incised valleys and high ridges that differs markedly from the country's narrower coastal plains.
The inland ranges have cooler, wetter conditions than Albania's Mediterranean-facing coastal belt. Their valleys drain through a deeply mountainous landscape before reaching lower country, placing these northern peaks in a setting quite different from the Adriatic and Ionian shores farther south.
