The Republic of the Congo includes a coastal plain, inland plateaus and river basins. The hills of the interior offer a different geographical focus from the country's lower equatorial basin landscapes.
The landscapes of Republic of the Congo
The coastal landscapes around the Atlantic are separated from the country’s northern basin by inland hills and plateaus. Higher landmarks can provide a regional focus, but much of the Republic of the Congo is defined by lower river-basin terrain.
